Deepest Blue é composto por Joel Edwards e Matt Schwartz.
A dupla trabalhou junto pela primeira vez no verão (hemisfério
norte) de 2003 sob esse codinome, e desde então vêm
produzindo um monte de novidades, algumas delas até 'monumentais'.

Deepest
Blue are Joel Edwards and Matt Schwartz. The duo first worked
together on the 2003 summer anthem ‘Deepest Blue’ and have been
honing their intelligent, contemporary pop sound ever since. Individually
both Matt and Joel have worked with some of the biggest names
in dance and pop including Massive Attack, Mica Paris, Skin, Scratch
Perverts and The UnderWolves.
In
addition to ‘Give It Away’ and 'Deepest Blue’, the album also
boasts the haunting title track ‘Late September’ and ‘Shooting
Star’ and both feature lush orchestral arrangements. According
to the lads "Our sound is influenced by everybody we like
and we have really eclectic musical tastes. We listen to everyone
from U2, Massive Attack, Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, Seal, The Cramps,
Julian Cope and Crosby, Stills and Nash and The Police!"
